Projects Manager

Kirsty is a Dharawal person from the La Perouse Aboriginal Community. Her family are the Timbery’s, Brown’s, Amatto’s, Rowley’s, Walker’s and Hoskin’s. Her ancestors include Emma Timbery (Lowndes), George Timbery, Sarah Kemister, Susan Mitchum/Edwards and William Walker. Kirsty and her family have unbroken links to Coastal Sydney and the Illawarra.

Kirsty has been involved in the Dharawal Language Program for many years and has contributed to many community research projects. Kirsty thinks it is important that the La Perouse Aboriginal Community is strong in culture and identity and that our children are taught Dharawal culture and knowledge.
